Ran, Rain, Go Away?

I usually despise the rain. I moved from San Francisco to Southern California for school and thought that I would also be moving away from a rainy fall and winter. I was somewhat wrong, it still rains in sunny southern California. It may not pour, and it may rain enough times to count on two hands, but rain boots are still pretty helpful in keeping you dry! Also, rain boots have become much more fashionable and a pretty cute addition to ones wardrobe.

Celebrities have been seen stomping around in the rain in the ever so popular Hunter Rain Boots, especially the specialty line designed by Jimmy Choo (seen at the left). These boots range from $125 for the classic styles to $425 for the specialty styles.

Hunter Rain Boots can be found at specialty department stores such as Nordstrom but also on websites such as Zappos, which offers free shipping (both ways if you need to return them). Also on Zappos are designer styles such as Michael Kors (to the eft) and Kate Spade (on the right), priced at $100 to $125.

But why spend so much on a shoe that is going to be getting wet, muddy, and only worn during a select few months of the year?

Zappos offers more than just designer brands and carries rain boots at pricess as low as $40, some options can be seen below.

DSW is another great place to look for rain boots. DSW offers great prices, specials, and coupons for those that sign up to receive their emails and mail-outs, so you almost never pay the list price.

Target though, is my personal favorite place to look for rain boots. The average price is $25 to $30 and the colors and designs are endless, bellow are some of their designs from past seasons.

Another great idea is you don’t want to spend a lot on the boot itself but still look stylish and cute is a great D.I.Y project to add a bow to the boot. Follow the link below for direction!

Rain boots are not only a great way to stay dry this season but to add some fun color and designs to your winter wardrobe! Maybe the rain isn’t so bad at all?
